Graphical Visualization Tool for Parallel Programs

Description

Jumpshot is a graphical tool for understanding the performance of
parallel programs. It has evolved from upshot and is written in
java. Jumpshot interprets binary CLOG tracefiles and displays them
onto a canvas object.

Installation on RM600-2

1)add path /opt/java/jdk11/bin to your Unix path variable and set CLASSPATH variable
for csh add the following lines in your .cshrc file

set path=(/opt/java/jdk11/bin $path)
setenv CLASSPATH /opt/java/jdk/lib/rt.jar:/usr/local/jumpshot:/usr/local/jumpsho t/jumpshot

2)copy jumpshot configuration files to root your home directory
cp -r /usr/local/jumpshot/data ~/

Now you can run Jumpshot from root your home directory by typing
java jumpshot.Jumpshot

add path /tools/java_11/jdk11/bin to your Unix path variable and set CLASSPATH variable
for csh add the following lines in your .cshrc file

set path=(/tools/java_11/jdk11/bin $path)
setenv CLASSPATH /tools/java_11/jdk11/lib/rt.jar:tools/java_11/jdk11/lib:/tools/local/jumpshot/lib/js_classes.jar:/tools/local/jumpshot/swing/swing.jar

if variable MPE_LOG_FORMAT is not set or equal CLOG
you should  run Jumpshot by typing
java jumpshot

if variable MPE_LOG_FORMAT is set to SLOG
you should run jumpshot-3 by typing
/tools/local/jumpshot-3/bin/jumphot
